Day 1: Quick! Before Bed!

Hi want to hear about the trip? Guess this song: “Blame it all on my roots, I showed up in boots and ruined your black tie affair.” Well, yeah, so today we went to, no we did not go to Third Man Records, but we went to the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. I saw a video of Carl Perkins telling how he became famous. On Friday you can go see an actual hall of famer perform there!

Tomorrow off to Texas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you can tell I am super excited. I get to sit in the front seat.

Hasta la vista!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Song is “friends in low places.” I want you to know, earl that I never heard that song before I met your mother.

Good luck finding a cowboy in Texas! They are always off on the range, I suppose. Nevertheless, have a great time!

There are places to buy gas and eat on the highway in Texas. Big bulls are out front. Go to one… Eat buffalo or deer or elk! Just one bite means you did it! You can also just look around… Great place to buy a reminder!

Man I forgot to eat buffalo or deer or elk. I ate chicken, though. And Whataburgers. YUMMY.

I don’t remember that day, but today worst was hiking. Best was sightseeing. And weirdest was seeing alien statues everywhere!

I can’t wait to read what you write on this blog. Your entries give me a snippet of what is going on in MY daughter’s head. So, I want to thank you for that, Darlin’. It’s a breath of fresh air from all the heavy stuff that adults post on Facebook. Please don’t feel any pressure to write every day or even with what you write. Know we just enjoy it whenever it happens and it always puts a smile on our faces. Hugs!

I’ve already had too much stress to have even more stress. Stress stress stress. Stress is all around us. And I’m just one of a lot of victims of stress. But I’m working on having a heck of a lot less on this trip!!1

This is a great start! You can also consider doing interviews along the way to add to your blog. Maybe make up a question or three to ask a local in each place you stop. Have fun!

We are off to Texas too on 6/25 to take Audrey back to her parents and little sister. She misses her Texas family but has loved visiting her Tennessee family. If you are near the Killeen area, give us all a shout and/or visit! Your mother knows how go get in touch with me on FB. Have a great trip!

Yeah, so we’ll be singing Friends in Low Places on the way to Disneyland. Already have the CD in the car. Cause my car doesn’t know how to talk to iPods. I also have a CD of Disney movie songs that are mandatory. I’m going to apologize now for that, tho. :)

Keep writing, even if you just make notes for yourself. You’ll read it years later and marvel at all the details your brain wasn’t able to hold on to.
